Virginia High dominated Tazewell with a 10-0 win in six innings in a one game playoff for the Southwest District regular season Championship. The Bearcats also earned the honor of hosting the Southwest District Tournament and favored seeding along with home field advantage in upcoming Region play. Isaac Berry was masterful on the mound getting the complete shut-out victory with six strikeouts and no free passes. Tazewell managed four hits against Berry. Brody Jones set the tone for the night with a leadoff Homerun in the bottom of the first inning. Jones added a double and a single racking up four RBI’s at the plate and scored three times. Bhraedon Meredith and Cody Griffith each added two hits in the twelve hit Bearcat attack. Lucas Whitt as able to cross the plate three times as well. The Bearcats will face Richlands at Devault Stadium on Thursday at 7:00 PM.
