Tennessee High took a 6-5 win over the visiting Virginia High Bearcats.
VHS committed five errorswhile giving up five unearned runs behind
pitcher Preston Smith. Smith had seven strikeouts and allowed five hits,
one of which was a go-ahead two run homerun in the bottom of the sixth
after errors let the Vikings ease back into the game. Virginia High
scored first with four runs in the third but could not close out the
game, stranding five runners in scoring position. Brandon Arnold had a
two run homerun.
