VHS collectively seemed to forget what to do with a baseball in their
4-1 loss to West Geauga, OH in the Spring Training held at Disney
World's Wide World of Sports. Virginia High committed three errors but
several mental errors not counted in the stats doomed the Bearcats.
Garfield Heights put together a couple of hits in the third inning to
take a two run lead. VHS scored once in the fifth but turned around and
gave up two more with confused defense. Virginia High missed several
opportunities to score and gave West Geauga two unearned runs. Pitcher
Preston Smith gave up five hits scattered through the game and also had
five strikeouts.
